BUT WE DID SEND TWO ATHLETES TO STATE.

THEY WERE BOTH FOR DISTANCE RUNNERS.

WE SENT LORD KING FOR THE 1,600 AND THE 3,200, AND WE SENT SOPHIA FOR THE 3,200.

LORD KING, HE DID GRANT STATE, HE GOT 11TH IN THE 1,600, AND THIS IS 4A, SO THAT'S A BIG DEAL, AND HE GOT EIGHTH AND THE 3,200, AND HE'S A SOPHOMORE.

DOESN'T EVEN LOOK TIRED OF [INAUDIBLE] DRESSES.

HE'S AMAZING. THEN SOPHIA, I'M ACTUALLY TRYING TO PULL IT UP RIGHT NOW.

I'M HAVING A HARD TIME WITH MY CHROMEBOOK.

BUT SHE GOT 13TH IN THE 3,200, WHICH IS AMAZING.

WE DID THAT. THEN THE ONLY OTHER THING I HAVE IS THAT I GRADUATED.

WE ALSO HAVE BATTLE GROUND'S GRADUATION AND PRAIRIE'S GRADUATION, AND SO I CAN PROUDLY SAY THAT I WAS AMONG THE FIRST, 33 PEOPLE TO GRADUATE FROM BATTLE GROUND PUBLIC SCHOOLS THIS YEAR, BESIDES THE SOME OF YOU GRADUATES EARLIER IN THE YEAR.

BUT THAT'S ACTUALLY ALL I HAVE.

I'LL GO OFF OF LIKE, FLOWING FROM JULIA'S.

FOR TRACK, WE SENT FOUR PEOPLE.

WE SENT WILL FOSTER, PARKER, ABIGAIL, AND YANA, AND ONE CHAMPION FOR DISCUS AND SHOTPUT, AND PR IN DISCUS.

THEN PARKER GOT EIGHTH IN JAVELIN.

ABIGAIL MENDOZA GOT 23RD IN THE OPEN 400 METER, 28TH IN THE OPEN 200 METER.

THEN YANA GOT 18TH IN TRIPLE JUMP AND 15TH IN LONG JUMP, WHICH IS REALLY GOOD FOR A FRESHMAN.

SHE IS JUST A FRESHMAN, SO PROUD OF HER FOR THAT.

THEN ON THE 14TH, SOCCER WORKOUT START AT PRAIRIE ON THE 16TH CROSS COUNTRY WORKOUT START, AND FOOTBALL HAS ALREADY STARTED.

THEN ON MAY 31, I HELPED VOLUNTEER AT THE PLEASANT VALLEY CARNIVAL, WHICH IS REALLY FUN.

I'VE VOLUNTEERED EVERY YEAR SINCE MY FRESHMAN YEAR.

IT JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER SEEING ALL THE KIDS HAVE FUN, PARENTS PLAYING GAMES, KIDS PLAYING GAMES WITH THEIR PARENTS, AND THEY ALWAYS ARE ADDING NEW STUFF AND IT JUST BECOMES A HUGE BIG THING, AND JUST A LOT OF KIDS HAVE FUN AND I JUST START PLAYING GAMES WITH KIDS SOMETIMES AND THEN WE JUST START TALKING.

IT'S JUST REALLY A LOT OF FUN.

YOU MAKE A LOT OF MEMORIES, ESPECIALLY AS A LITTLE KID, JUST GOING TO THESE THINGS.

THESE ARE THE MEMORIES TO REMEMBER.

THEN RIGHT NOW I'M JUST PLANNING STUDENT ORIENTATION FOR THE UPCOMING FRESHMEN THAT ARE GOING TO PRAIRIE.

WE'RE TRYING TO PLAN A DAY BEFORE SCHOOL, SO THEY HAVE AN OPEN WALK THROUGH SO THEY CAN JUST COME WHENEVER THEY'D LIKE, SEE WHAT THEY HAVE, ANSWER THE QUESTIONS THAT THEY HAVE, AND THEN ON THE TWO HOUR LATE START ON THE FIRST DAY, WE'RE GOING TO DO NOT A LECTURE, BUT JUST THEM GETTING TO MEET IMPORTANT PEOPLE AT SCHOOL, RESOURCES THAT WE HAVE AND POSSIBLE CLUBS THAT WE HAVE AS WELL. THAT'S ALL THAT I HAVE.

THIS DISTRICT IS BETTER FOR ALL THE YEARS THAT YOU'VE SPENT HERE AS A TEACHER, AS A LEADER, AND CERTAINLY A SUPERINTENDENT WHEN I'VE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE YOUR WORK.

FROM MY EXPERIENCE IN MANY DISTRICTS, THIS DISTRICT IS STELLAR, AND YOU'RE A LARGE PART OF THAT.

YOUR COHERENCE WORK IS AMAZING.

I JUST WANT TO SAY TO YOU, THOUGH, GO HAVE FUN.

LET THAT BE YOUR LEGACY BECAUSE THERE WILL BE MANY PEOPLE HERE WHO WILL BE SCRATCHING THEIR HEAD WITH THE PROBLEM AND THEY'LL THINK, I WONDER WHAT DENNY WOULD DO.

I DON'T KNOW, THAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL IT'S REALLY IMPACTED ME AND I KNOW IT'S IMPACTED LIKE EVERYBODY IN THE DISTRICT, AND SO I JUST REALLY LOVE THAT.

THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE AND WHO PUT THE 100% ON THE TABLE NO MATTER WHEN NO MATTER WHAT.

I LOOK UP TO YOU FOR THAT PUTTING 100% OF YOUR DEDICATION, DETERMINATION, YOUR COURAGE, AND YOUR KINDNESS OVER ROLL.

ONE, OSPI APPROVED OUR WAIVER FOR OUR PLC DAYS FOR NEXT YEAR, SO WE WILL BE GETTING A NEW CALENDAR OUT TO THE COMMUNITY THAT WILL IDENTIFY NOVEMBER 5TH AND FEBRUARY 4TH AS THE TWO WAIVER DAYS, AS WELL AS BECAUSE WE TRIED THE TWO HOUR LATE START THIS YEAR, AND THERE WAS REALLY A LOT OF MIXED FEEDBACK MAINLY TO THE NOT OVERLY EFFECTIVE SIDE THAT WE WILL TRY A THREE HOUR EARLY RELEASE ON APRIL 15TH TO SEE IF THAT'S A MODEL WE CAN MOVE TO IN THE FUTURE INSTEAD OF WAIVER DAYS NEXT YEAR.

THOSE UPDATES WILL BE ON THE NEW CALENDAR.

I ALSO WANTED TO DURING OUR LAST MEETING, THERE WERE SOME QUESTIONS FROM A CITIZEN DURING OUR CITIZENS COMMENTS TIME ABOUT OUR HIGH SCHOOL SEL CURRICULUM ADOPTION PROCESS.

I WANTED TO CLARIFY AND I PUT A COPY FOR ALL OF YOU ON YOUR TABLE SO THAT YOU HAVE REFERENCE TO IT BUT FOR OUR COMMUNITY.

I JUST WANTED TO BE CLEAR THAT THE COMMITTEE CHOSE WAY FINDER LAST MONTH, THEY WERE STILL CONSIDERING TWO OPTIONS, AND THEIR FINALIST WAS DECIDED ON MAY 30TH.

TOMORROW NIGHT, TUESDAY THE TENTH AT 6:00 P.M.

THERE IS A VIRTUAL MEETING TO REVIEW THE CURRICULUM.

UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO COPYRIGHT LIMITATIONS, WE WON'T BE ABLE TO RECORD THAT VIRTUAL MEETING, SO THAT UNFORTUNATELY IS NOT AN OPTION FOR US.

THE STATE AVERAGE IS 6% AND WE EXCEEDED THAT.

WE'RE AT 9% CURRENTLY FOR THIS YEAR FOR EXIT IN THE PROGRAM.

BUT WE ALSO BELIEVE THAT THIS IS A MOMENT FOR THE COMMUNITY TO STEP UP AND SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS IN MEANINGFUL WAYS.

SINCE 2016, TEACH ONE TO LEAD ONE, HAS SERVED STUDENTS IN THE BATTLEGROUND SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND WE ARE COMMITTED TO CONTINUING THAT SUPPORT, ESPECIALLY IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY AND CHANGE.

OUR PROGRAM PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH DYNAMIC AND INTERACTIVE LESSONS FOCUSED ON CHARACTER AND LEADERSHIP.

EACH CLASSROOM IS PAIRED WITH THREE TO FOUR TRAINED COMMUNITY MENTORS WHO SHARE REAL LIFE STORIES, GUIDE DISCUSSIONS, AND LEAD HANDS ON ACTIVITIES THAT ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO COLLABORATE, REFLECT, AND GROW.

STUDENTS ALSO DESIGN AND COMPLETE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS IN THE PROGRAM, AND THEY ARE CELEBRATED AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM WITH LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATES AND PERSONALIZED AFFIRMATIONS FROM THEIR COMMUNITY MENTORS.

AND OUR IMPACT IS MEASURABLE.

I'VE GIVEN YOU GUYS SHEETS THAT HAVE OUR STATISTICS ON THEM THAT YOU CAN SEE.

WE USE A RESEARCH BASED PLATFORM CALLED HELLO INSIGHT TO TRACK THE GROWTH AND OUTCOMES OF THE STUDENTS THROUGH OUR PROGRAM.

IN THE 2024 AND 25 SCHOOL YEAR, STUDENTS IN PRAIRIE HIGH SCHOOLS APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY CLASS SAW SIGNIFICANT GROWTH.

ON THE FIRST THE FRONT OF THE PAGE, YOU'LL SEE THAT 81% OF THE STUDENTS IMPROVED IN THEIR SOCIAL SKILLS, 78% SHOWED GROWTH IN THEIR ACADEMIC SELF EFFICACY, 63% SHOWED GROWTH IN THEIR POSITIVE SELF IDENTITY.

OVERALL 93% OF THE STUDENTS IN TEACH ONE TO LEAD ONE THIS YEAR EXPERIENCE MEASURABLE GROWTH IN AT LEAST ONE OF THE GROWTH CAPACITIES.

PERHAPS MOST POWERFULLY, ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PAGE, BEFORE OUR PROGRAM BEGAN IN THE 23-24, SCHOOL YEAR 73% OF THE STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM WERE CONSIDERED EMERGING IN POSITIVE IDENTITY, MEANING THEY HAD ROOM TO GROW AND HOW THEY VIEWED THEMSELVES.

BY THE END OF THE TEACH ONE TO LEAD ONE PROGRAM, 95% SHOWED INCREASED CONFIDENCE AND A STRONGER SENSE OF IDENTITY.

THIS TRANSFORMATION HAPPENS WHEN STUDENTS ARE SURROUNDED BY CARING ADULTS WHO BELIEVE IN THEM.

AS OF NOW, RIVER HOME LINK HAS EXPRESSED INTEREST IN TEACH ONE TO LEAD ONE FOR THE 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR.

HOWEVER, WE WOULD LOVE TO REMAIN AND EXPAND WITHIN THE BATTLE GROUND SCHOOL DISTRICT.

AGAIN, EVERY SINGLE ONE IS SO DIFFERENT, AND I JUST REALLY APPRECIATE AND LOVE THE WAY STUDENTS ARE HONORED FOR ALL OF THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND ALWAYS IN VERY DIFFERENT WAYS.

REALLY WHAT THEY'RE DOING RIGHT NOW, TED'S POSITION IS STILL OPEN AT THAT DISTRICT 4 LEVEL.

BUT AGAIN, IT COULD BE ANYONE.

THERE'S ALSO SUPERINTENDENT INPUT AND FROM DISTRICT 4, THAT'S MARY BETH TACK, THE SUPERINTENDENT IN KELSO.

THEY ALL HAVE THOSE REPRESENTATIVE.

THE IDEA IS, IF THERE'S A BATTLEGROUND SCHOOL BOARD, LIKE QUESTIONS, WHATEVER, IT WOULD GO THROUGH THAT BOARD MEMBER TO BE REPRESENTED OR TALKED ABOUT AT DISTRICT 4 WHEN IT COMES TO.
